Brian’s journey into the world of social work began unexpectedly but quickly evolved into a profound calling. Initially drawn to professions centered around helping others—firefighting, EMS, and law—he found his true purpose during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. While navigating the challenges of the time, Brian discovered social work, and from that moment, it became clear that this was where his passion and skills were meant to flourish.

Throughout his academic career at North Idaho College and Lewis-Clark State College, Brian balanced his studies with hands-on experience in residential treatment. It was here that he first encountered the deep sense of fulfillment that comes with supporting young adults as they embark on the often complex journey of self-discovery and independence. His ability to connect with individuals during these pivotal moments has defined his work and fueled his commitment to making a lasting impact.

Currently, Brian is pursuing his Master’s in Social Work at Idaho State University, with a focus on clinical practice and trauma-informed care. His work with individuals facing housing insecurity has provided him with a unique perspective on mental health, allowing him to approach challenges from a systemic lens. Through his efforts with some of the most vulnerable members of the community, Brian has strengthened his belief in the transformative power of support systems. He is dedicated to the idea that with the right guidance and resources, anyone can find a path to success.

At the core of Brian’s therapeutic philosophy is the belief that people deserve to live authentically, grounded in their values, and empowered by their inherent strengths. His goal is to provide the support and inspiration needed for individuals to thrive in a way that feels true to themselves.

Outside of his professional life, Brian finds joy in the simple pleasures of nature and family. Whether hiking, paddleboarding, or exploring disc golf courses, he embraces the outdoors as a place of peace and rejuvenation. And when it’s time to unwind, Brian’s love for all things nerdy is a constant source of fun and relaxation, a reflection of his balanced, down-to-earth approach to life.
