WestWind Wellness Clinic announces the cessation of operations effective August 15, 2026. This decision follows extensive evaluation of operational viability in the current healthcare reimbursement environment.
BACKGROUND
WestWind Wellness Clinic has provided mental health services to the Inland Northwest community for several years. The clinic maintained a mission to deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy regardless of patients' ability to pay, allocating the majority of revenue directly to clinical staff compensation.
The decision to close reflects the unsustainable pressures facing independent behavioral health clinics. Managed care reimbursement rates have declined significantly, with contracted rates dropping from an average of $89 per hour to approximately $79 per hour. Simultaneously, insurance carriers have implemented policy changes that shift costs to patients, reducing insurance utility for those seeking care. These compounding factors, combined with rising operational costs, have made continued operations untenable.
PATIENT TRANSITION
The clinic's final day of clinical operations will be August 14th, 2026. All appointments after August 14th are cancelled. Patients are encouraged to reach out directly to their therapist at the contact information posted on this website to discuss their continued care.
